Lifestyle hack = less need (if there ever was one) for statins!

1. I have this tiny Rubbermaid container in my purse that always has mixed nuts in it. So when I want a snack they're always available an fresh and I don't buy chips or cookies out of craving (you can have them in ziplock bags too).

2. I wash every fruit as soon as I get them from the grocery store and also put them in containers, so when I have to make a smoothie I just throw them in the blender.

3. I have bottles of water everywhere (my car, my gym bag, my office, at home...) so I don't have to stop and buy water every time or go to the vending machine and then get a soda. Also, this helps me drink a good amount of water daily.

4. I always have cooked chicken breast in my refrigerator. I put it on sandwiches or salads and making them is very easy and saves time.

5. I work out and my gym is very close to home, but, I always have my gym bag ready (water bottle and workout clothing, sneakers and everything) and my yoga mat in my trunk, so if I don't have the time to head home and grab everything, I'll just go straight to the gym, go for a run wherever I am and even do a little yoga (there's always a spot to do yoga).

5.1 I found this yoga app that has complete workouts and even music and it's free and quite self explanatory. I've used it mostly when I'm out of town in my hotel room and worked very well. The app is called "Daily Yoga".

Having a healthy lifestyle involves changing some habits we have, so this might sound like what I do is not easy, but once you start doing it (which is the hardest part), you'll find out that incorporating these habits will take about 7 to 10 minutes every other day and will make important changes in how you live. Good luck!
