The obvious 5 things first:
- Move your body for at least 30 mins. By boxing, running, walking, playing tennis, swimming or whatever you prefer to do.
- Eating a plant based meal (that means lots of veggies!)
- Drinking 2–3 litres of water
- Taking 3 deep conscious breaths a few times throughout the day
- Talking to a person you love (friend, partner, family member)
And 5 not so obvious (but great) things:
- Stop being mean to yourself. Seriously. Don’t talk yourself down or judge yourself. Be a little less hard on yourself.
- Do a daily ‘brain dump’. Write down everything that’s on your mind. On paper. It’s clears out your mind.
- Hug. A pet, a person, a tree. For 30 seconds. Notice how your happiness increases.
- Eat a piece of dark chocolate. It’s good for the soul. If you don’t like chocolate, allow yourself another treat.
- Identify a problem - in your life, in your community, or in the world. Then come up with 5–10 ideas to solve that problem.
