1. Focus on gratitude.
It’s difficult to be angry, frustrated, jealous, or upset when you are focused on the positive things that you already had. It’s often the most important things that we already have in life that is overlooked such as our family, our friends, our cars, our health, and even our homes. There are always people who are less fortunate and have to live in worst circumstances.
2. Treat everyone with kindness.
You have the ability to treat everyone with kindness, regardless if you agree with them. This is important not only for your friends, your family, your co-workers but also the people you interact with on a daily basis but do not know. When you treat others well, they will reciprocate and treat you well in return.
3. Let go of the little things that don’t matter.
Don’t get caught up and consumed by small things that don’t have a major effect in your life. Don’t get frustrated or angry about what this one person might have said about you or if things didn’t turn out exactly how you planned or wanted. It’s wasted energy that could be better used elsewhere and serves no one.
4. Read a positive book for at least 10 minutes.
Expand your knowledge and skills or relax by consuming a valuable or insightful book that can help you in a specific area of life that you are working on or are curious about.
5. Create opportunities, don’t wait for them.
There will never be a perfect time to start or do something. Waiting for it will certainly delay you from reaching your goal or taking action. Be proactive and create the ‘right timing’.
