From Al Sears

If you're a man 60 or older, your chance of being put on a statin drug is a staggering 87%!1
The latest cholesterol guidelines recommend that almost every older American take the drug.2
The "heart health experts" who wrote the guidelines say taking a statin will lower cholesterol and prevent you from having a heart attack or stroke.
It's a huge scam.
In fact, the theory that cholesterol causes heart disease is one of the biggest myths sold to the public.
But Big Pharma built a $29 billion industry on this fake science.
So they're certainly not going to come clean now. There's too much money at stake.
And the truth is statins do nothing to help seniors avoid heart attacks, strokes or an early death. I've been saying this for years.
And a new study proves it once again…
Researchers from New York University School of Medicine studied data from 2,867 adults over eight years. They were all 65 years or older. They had high blood pressure but no hardening of the arteries.
Half of them were taking a statin.
The researchers tracked deaths from any cause, as well as coronary heart disease and non-fatal heart attacks. What they found was clear…
Statins don't do a single thing for healthy seniors.
Those taking statins had the same number of heart attacks and strokes.
But, it seems the statins may have caused more harm than good…
You see, the death rate from all causes was 18% higher in the statin
group
.3
Research debunking the cholesterol myth is piling up. Studies prove:
  • people with higher cholesterol have a lower risk of dying from all causes.
  • having cholesterol under 180 mg/dl is actually linked to higher death rates.
  • people who lowered their cholesterol with statins had a 25% increase in new cancers.4
  • patients with low cholesterol have a 990% increased risk of dying after a heart attack.5
The plain truth is cholesterol doesn't cause heart disease.
In fact, cholesterol is essential for good health.
But you'll never hear that from mainstream doctors. Even "alternative" doctors will tell you to reduce your levels naturally. But they miss the point…
Your body NEEDS cholesterol to build cell membranes, your brain, and the protective layer of your nerves. Cholesterol is also a key building block for hormones. Without it you wouldn't be able to produce testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, or cortisol.
To live a long, healthy life, stop worrying about cholesterol. And enjoy cholesterol-rich foods. Don't be afraid to eat liver from beef or poultry, butter, shrimp, shellfish and whole eggs.
Along with certain supplements like CoQ10 and PQQ, there are three things I recommend that will help you slash your risk of heart attack and stroke:
1. Lower Your Inflammation Levels. Inflammation is a strong predictor of heart disease. To cool inflammation naturally, I recommend getting more of the omega-3 fat called EPA. Getting enough EPA lowers the risk of having any cardiac event by 79%.6
The best food sources of EPA are grass-fed beef or fatty cold-water fish like salmon, lake trout, sardines and pollock. But most people just don't eat enough of those foods. You'll want to supplement.
I recommend krill oil for EPA. It's not toxic like most fish oil. And the EPA in krill oil is in the "phospholipid" form. It penetrates directly into heart cells. Take at least 500 mg of EPA per day.
2. Raise Your HDL Levels. If you get your HDL cholesterol up to 85 or above, your risk of heart disease drops to almost zero. Even if your totalcholesterol is through the roof.
One of the best ways to boost HDL levels is by taking niacin (vitamin B3). Studies show it raises HDL levels by 25 to 30%.
You can get niacin from grass-fed beef, pastured poultry, wild-caught salmon and peanuts. But to raise HDL levels you'll need to supplement.
But go slowly…
Too much can lead to a "niacin flush." That's a harmless prickly sensation on your skin. Start at 250 mg per day. Increase gradually every month until you get up to 750 to 1,000 mg a day. You can also split into twice a day to reduce the flush.
3. Lower Your Triglycerides. People with high levels of these fats in the blood have three times the risk of heart disease as people with high LDL levels.
High-fiber foods like beans lower triglycerides. Their soluble fiber absorbs fats and helps the body excrete them. Eat one or two cups every day. If you're not a bean lover, you can take an extract of white kidney beans. It's been proven to lower triglycerides 330% more than a placebo.7
Start with 500 mg of the extract twice a day. It's important to take it about 20 minutes before you eat to get the triglyceride lowering effect.
